A brief look at some of the projects I'm currently undertaking: * A collaborative project: Shadows, a sumptuous "coffeetable book," with its focus on the exclusive portrait photographs taken by nationally known photographer Beth Gwinn. Our intent is to finally illuminate the greatest personalities in horror, gothic, and dark suspense via Gwinn's intimate photographs and my brief interviews/bibliographies. We hope to include nearly all the subjects who appeared in my Dark Dreamers and Dark Visions, as well as many other celebrated personalities. (Hardcover edition forthcoming from Underwood Books.)
*Another project is entitled "deadbacks, " a new comic book series. The unsettling premise: "A gang of five undead street kids rage against the even darker evils still breeding amongst the living. Damned in death as they were in life, these lost adolescents, universally hated and hunted as 'deadbacks,' seek an exiled scientist to bring them back to life...or finally grant them eternal peace."
* Voices In My Head Productions have optioned the audio rights to several of my short stories. The title for the project is Intimate Strangers: Stories of Dark Suspense. Employing professional voice actors, and state of the art production facilities, their intention is to ultimately release a 60 minute or 90 minute audio tape. The stories will be adapted into fully dramatized audio plays.
JUST FOR LAUGHS: Working with artist Dan Berger, I've also created a trio of wacky humor books. (For a sneak preview--and a good laugh--please see Sample Cartoon Art). These are entitled:

These books are in fact completed (each contain about a hundred gags/cartoons), and my literary agent is currently seeking a home for any or all of them. I can gladly put him in touch with you.
